Center City's Intelligent label put together by Eric Sherman. Representing Blink Blink, Octorock, and Fingernail as well as less well known projects, United Magnet International, Magnet-F, Szalemandre and Vegetable Calm.
Two compilation albums were put out, one in 1997 and one in 1998, and since then Doubtful label artists have made there way onto other labels... Adam Diangelo onto a Fuzzybox/Darla release, and Octorock on an Inzec records album.
Some really incredible music has come out of the friendships formed between these artists. Cathy Cheung (Blink Blink) isn't making music any more, but we have recordings of her set at the Gate to Moonbase Alpha. Cathy wouldn't have been making music or sharing it if it weren't for the influence and support of Adam and Eric. And I suspect plenty more can attribute their productivity to their proximity to Doubtful.
