Syd, Loren and Eric's wonderful
album Wading and Waiting was released by Darla
Records in 1998 as part of its succesful Bliss Out series. I was drunk
on this album like a blind Sufi.
Some of you heard their live
show late in 1998 with Dominick Zappa
and Ben Morgan's Bergheim
34. What a show! Incredibly, their album is much better because they
rarely bring their cello out to live shows for fear of damage to the expensive
instrument.
I'm still mourning their
lack of appearance due to illness at the recent Sonic
Logos 1999 Philadelphia Ambient Music festival. |
